Oakland Ross
Oakland Ross is a feature writer and former Middle East correspondent for the Toronto Star. In a previous life, he also worked as a correspondent based in Latin America and later in Africa. The winner of two National Newspaper Awards, Ross has written four books, including a collection of short stories, a travel memoir, and two novels, the second of which will be published in April 2013 by HarperCollins Canada. It’s called The Empire of Yearning.
