VOA Press Freedom Editor Jessica Jerreat is an award-winning journalist with nearly 25 years’ experience in local and international news, and press freedom for organizations including the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists and The Times of London. Since joining VOA in March 2020, Jerreat has won seven awards for her coverage, including from the National Press Club, the AIB, and Clarion. She has a master’s in War, Media, and Society from Britain’s University of Kent at Canterbury, with a focus on propaganda, the press and conflict in the Korean war.
