Zionism and Its Discontents

Gershon Baskin fears the imminent death of the two-state solution—and therefore, of his “Zionist dream.” He sees a great disaster about to unfold and cannot understand why people are not shouting ‘don’t let this happen!’…The two-state solution…is no more than a speech, empty words on paper with absolutely no value any more.

On Apartheid

Gershon Baskin thinks that we must rise to impetrative of our Jewish values and experience and relieve ourselves of our apartheid status and that we must be a free people in our land and in order to do that the Palestinians must also be a free people in their land.

Martin Sherman

Gershon Baskin responds to the scathing attack of Martin Sherman, the founder of the Israel Institute of Strategic Studies and the first academic director of the internationally renowned Herzliya Conference, against him. Gershon Baskin argues that the denial of the national political rights of one of the peoples living here will continue to prevent peace.
