Yael Dan
Yael Dan is an Israeli journalist. Swas born as Yael Horowitz and grew up in Kibbutz Dan. Her father, Elimelech Horowitz, was the founder of the Osishkin House Museum in the kibbutz. She was educated in a kibbutz until she left it after being drafted into the IDF, and she did her military service in the Galei Zahal radio station
Starting in 1998, Dan presents the news magazine "Making Noon" on the IDF airwaves, where, among other things, she brings victims of sexual trauma to the fore and accompanies them over the years.
In November 2018, the Knesset accepted a law change initiated as part of the program, which allows victims of sexual assault to be exposed in the media without the approval of a judge.
In 2019, Dan won the Sokolov Prize for Electronic Communications and the Lifetime Achievement Award..
