Dora Mengüç was born in Istanbul precisely 34 years after the poet Orhan Veli died in a municipal pit on November 14, 1950. He spent his childhood between Be?ikta? and Kad?köy. He graduated from Göztepe Primary School, once known as "Ta? Mektep", 80 years after the great poet Naz?m Hikmet. He loves poetry, stories, and literature and has been a journalist for 22 years. Dora Mengüç reports on politics, international relations and environmental issues. He graduated with honours from Marmara Journalism High School and the Journalism Department at Bilgi University. He studied International Relations at the same university's MA program. Mengüç worked as an intern, freelancer, and professional for Cumhuriyet Newspaper, TV8, Habertürk, Star TV, and TRT. He also participated in the founding team of Haber Global and Independent Turkish news centres. News, opinions, analysis, and interviews about current developments were published in different institutions, such as To Vima, La Marea, Indigo Magazine, Vatan Daily Newspaper, Radio Pin, Cornell University, TRT Türk, and Radikal Genç Magazine. Mengüç also released two documentaries about the reality of the earthquake in Turkey. Since April 2024, he has been working as a freelance journalist. Some of his interviews and articles published on Medium's Dora Reports page have also been published in Turkish and French in Le Parisen Matin and news organizations Fikir and Perspektif Online. He tries to contact everyone; he doesn't have to like the person he talks to; he tries to do fair journalism.
