The Anahuac University is a private educational institution of higher learning in Mexico, located in the Interlomas area of Greater Mexico City. The university belongs to the Catholic religious congregation of the Legionaries of Christ. The university was founded in 1964. It offers 28 undergraduate programs and 40 postgraduate programs.
Anáhuac means “near the water” in Nahuatl, the ancient Aztec language spoken in Tenochtitlan, which used to be the biggest and most crowded place in Central America, what is now Mexico City, the home of the university.
