The University of British Columbia in partnership with Peace it Together are organizing a free Pacific Dialogue event at UBC: Building Peace Between Israelis and Palestinians

Featured presenters: Dr. Gershon Baskin and Dr. Sami Adwan will talk about their personal stories, and work for peace in the Middle East.

Tickets: are free, and available at the Chan Centre Ticket Office from January 4, 2011 (hours of operation: Monday to Saturday 12pm to 5pm). There is a limit of 4 tickets per person.

Peace it Together Executive Director Reena Lazar will announce the summer 2011 film project at UBC to include 10 Palestinian, 10 Israeli and 10 Canadian university students.

Moderator, Stephen Owen, is UBC’s Vice President of External, Legal and Community Relations. He is a former Canadian cabinet minister and has worked on peace building projects in Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe.
