Gershon Baskin, Israeli CEO and Founder of the Israel/Palestine Center for Research and Information (IPCRI), will discuss how secret back-channel negotiations between the Israeli government and Hamas contributed to the release of soldier Gilad Schalit as well as Palestinian prisoners in October 2011. He will also examine how this successful Israeli/Palestinian negotiation can be a model for future peace talks.
