Josh Lipowsky

Josh Lipowsky is a research analyst with the Counter Extremism Project, where he researches and profiles international extremist groups, leaders, and ideologies. His areas of focus include Palestinian and Iranian-linked militant groups and extremist ideologies. His daily work includes monitoring ISIS-related Twitter accounts and tracking developments in Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. In his previous life, he was an award-winning journalist who spent several years covering the Israeli-Arab conflict, U.S. Middle East policy, the Iranian nuclear issue, and the North American Jewish Community. His interviews include Benjamin Netanyahu, Mel Brooks, Mayim Bialak, Gershon Baskin, and Ranaan Gissin. His writings have appeared in the Times of Israel, the Jerusalem Post, and Forbes.com, among other publications.
